Each and every network adapter (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) in the world includes a unique hardware identifier, which we know as MAC address (media access control address). This is a 48-bit address (often referred as hardware or physical address)is divided into six octet represented by hexadecimal numbers (e.g., â00-0C-29-E4-D8-90) and itâs use for communication at the data link layer.
